George Olmstead has over 30 years experience in the retained executive search business. Mr. Olmstead is based in the firm's Atlanta office. As a partner, he has conducted searches for clients in financial services, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, not-for-profit, real estate and telecommunications. His searches are conducted, primarily, at the Vice President up to Chief Executive Officer level. Among his clients have been world class companies such as BellSouth, Blockbuster, Canada Dry, Crane Company, Equitable, Fisher Scientific, Fortis, Ingersoll-Rand, Kimberly Clark, Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Thompson.
Mr. Olmstead's career began at Citizens and Southern National Bank (now Bank of America) as a management trainee. His career continued in financial services working for Johnson Higgins (now Marsh) of Georgia immediately prior to co-founding Blackshaw & Olmstead. That firm was purchased in 1986 by New York based, Boyden International, where he was a partner for four years. In 1990, he helped start the new search firm which eventually became Olmstead, Lynch & Curtis.
He is a past Board member of IMTECH (NASDAQ), Very Special Arts of Georgia, and the Georgia Conservancy and Young Audiences of Atlanta. He is former Board Vice Chairman of the Oldfields School in Hunt Valley, Maryland. He is a trustee of the Savannah Music Festival and Piedmont Park Conservancy.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, he attended both the University of Georgia School of Law and Georgia State University Graduate School of Business.
John Lynch joined the firm in 1991 and was made partner in 1994. Currently, he oversees the firm's Florida office.
Mr. Lynch's search practice focuses on serving clients in a wide range of industries. He has completed assignments for Chief Executives, Chief Operating Officers, Board Directors, Managing Directors, and Vice Presidents in a variety of companies such as American Express, Colgate-Palmolive, GE Capital, Bear Sterns, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Marsh McLennan, to name a few.
Additionally, he has conducted a substantial body of work with smaller entrepreneurial and small venture companies. Recent assignments include CEO, for a new start-up in the international communications industry, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for the same company, as well as three partners for a consulting firm dealing with issues focusing on board level concerns driven by Sarbannes Oxley.
Mr. Lynch had more than 20 years international and domestic search experience prior to joining Blackshaw, Olmstead. His early experience was in advertising sales with Time, Inc.
Mr. Lynch is a graduate of Fairfield University with a B.A. in English.
Phil Curtis has been an executive search partner since 2002. Prior to joining the firm as a partner in 2010, he previously served as a partner with another blue chip retained search firm. Phil has completed numerous senior level assignments for such regional, national and global clients as The Coca-Cola Company, Carter, Aaron’s, AIMCO, AIG, Pattillo, Bayer Properties, Halpern Enterprises and AGCO.
Phil began his career as an attorney with White & Case in New York, one of the world’s largest law firms. Later he practiced with the Atlanta firm that is now Jones Day, another Top Five firm. Following his legal career, he served as a senior executive for 25 years in commercial real estate with such prominent firms as Cousins Properties, Taylor & Mathis, JDN Realty Development and the Mills Corporation providing extensive personal and business contacts and relationships throughout the United States which have served him well in his search initiatives.
Phil is a Past President of the Harvard Business School Club of Atlanta, Dartmouth Club of Georgia, Buckhead Fifty Club and the National Memorial Day Association of Georgia. He has served as Director of the Rotary Club of Buckhead, Metropolitan Arts Foundation, Sigma Chi Alumni Association, CEO Netweavers and is on the Honorary Real Estate Board at Georgia State University where he serves as an Adjunct Professor. He is listed in Who’s Who in the Southeast, Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World. Phil received his AB degree magna cum laude from Dartmouth College, JD from Harvard Law School and MBA from Harvard Business School.
Gary Kreutz came to Blackshaw, Olmstead & Lynch in 2002 with over 18 years experience in the retained executive search business. Currently, he oversees the firm's Chicago office. He has conducted searches for such clients as America Online, Andersen Windows, Blount Corporation, Carlson Companies, Cincinnati Bell, Con Agra, Coopers & Lybrand, Daweoo Motors of America, Devilbiss Health Care, Inc, Diners Club, ECKO Group, Inc, Heinz Holding, IBM Corporation, Kraft-USA/Philip Morris Corporation, Midas International Corporation, Miller Brewing Company, Monsanto Company/NutraSweet, Motorola Inc, Oscar Mayer, Mercury Marine Corporation, RJR/Nabisco Corporation, Regal Beloit Corporation, Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Sysmex America, and Whirlpool Corporation.
Mr. Kreutz's career began with General Motors Corporation in an Industrial Relations function. He has held positions Human Resources with PepsiCo and Federated Department Stores (as Senior Vice President for its Main Street Division, Chicago).
In 1985, Mr. Kreutz became a principal and, soon thereafter, a partner in a successful retained executive search firm in Chicago. Four years later he established Kreutz Consulting Group, Inc of Lake Forest, Illinois.
Mr. Kreutz is a graduate of St Louis University with a B.S. in Commerce and completed his MBA at St. Louis University.
Tom Branicki joined Olmstead, Lynch & Curtis as a Partner in the Atlanta office.
As a partner, Tom has conducted searches for clients regionally, nationally and internationally in financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, e-Discovery, forensics and business valuation. His searches are primarily focused at the Managing Director to Chief Executive Officer Level with companies varying from venture capital firms to the Fortune 500. Among his clients have been world class companies such as Grant Thornton, First Advantage, CSM Bakery Solutions, Larson-Juhl, Piedmont Wellstreet, ISTO Technologies, and FFL Group. In addition, Tom leads the International Search Division and the development of the Sports Management practice.
Prior to joining the firm, Tom founded and served as Managing Principal of At The Half, LLC. At The Half was a career management firm focused on providing career coaching, outplacement and executive search services for professional and collegiate athletes making career transitions. Tom worked with both professional and collegiate athletes, including NFL teams on their Rookie Symposium. Prior to starting At The Half, Tom had a successful sales and management career.
Tom has spoken at numerous industry associations and is active in the International business community. He is on the Board of Directors of the British America Business Council of Georgia and member of Men’s Club at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He has been involved with the Special Olympics along with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Tom served as the Assistant Coach for the Georgia Tech hockey team for 5 years winning the Thrasher Cup in back to back years. In addition, he has a working knowledge of Polish and Korean languages.
Ms. Faivre joined Gary Kreutz in the the firm's Chicago office in 2003 and brings with her a career spent in client service. In addition to her Ph.D., she holds an MS in Clinical Psychology. She provides candidate counseling and testing in addition to her traditional client recruiting efforts. She is also a part-time Associate Professor HOLOS University Graduate Seminary.
Beckett Olmstead has a long association with the firm with her primary focus being in management development, coaching and outplacement. Her early performance experience includes 7 years with EnterChange, Inc a national human resource consulting firm where as a vice president and senior consultant she consulted for clients such as Coca-Cola, Cigna, and Amoco. She also worked part-time doing outplacement for a small human resource consultancy and for 4 years she was a global human resource manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Ms. Olmstead has a B.A. in History and a M.S. in Industrial/Organization Psychology.
Tricia Holder joined Olmstead Lynch & Curtis in the firm’s Atlanta office in 2019. She has over twenty-two years of business development, marketing and human resource experience including permanent placement, staffing, recruiting and the implementation of recruiting productivity tools. She has conducted searches for director and senior level positions for small to mid-size public and private companies.
She is an Atlanta native and she graduated from Marist high school. She graduated from Vanderbilt University in three years with a bachelor’s degree in Communication. She serves on the boards of United Way Tocqueville and Wellspring Living.
